在Output Style修改中，Author Lists 与 Editor Lists 是定义当一笔文献有多位作者或编辑时，其名称之间的链接符号、是否列出所有作者、或仅列出前N位作者其余用特定符号代替(常见为et al.)。在三处有此Lists设置，包括：Citations(引注)、Bibliography(参考文献)、Footnotes(注脚)，设置的位置如下：
虽然Bibliography 和 Footnotes 多了Editor Lists选项，但三处的设置大致类似，以下将分别介绍。
一、Citations
定义引注处格式。主要分为 Author Separators 和 Abbreviated Author List 两处设置，如下：
Author Separators 是定义多位作者名之间的连接符号，区分为最后一位作者与前作者间(before last)、以及其余作者间(between)可设置以不同的符号链接。另外，因自X5版添加功能后引注格式可以为 Author(Year)，因此后方特别增加“before last in format: Author (Year)”，用以区分与一般 (Author, Year )引注格式之别。以上图的设置方式为例，在不同的状况下可分别呈现citation的作者清单如下：
Abbreviated Author List 是定义列出的作者数、与被省略作者之替代文字，各项目意义如下：
- List all author names：无论作者数量，全部列出。
- If X or more authors, list the first Y author(s), and abbreviate with Z：
当作者数量达到 X 以上时，仅列出前 Y 位作者，其余以 Z 替代。
Z 通常为“et al.”，可用斜体 (勾选Italic)呈现。 - Abbreviated Author List 又分为 First Appearance 和 Subsequent Appearance，分别定义引用相同作者群第一次和第二次以上。因部分引注格式规定，在多次引用相同作者群的文献时，第一次和第二次以上列出的人名数不同。同样以前设置图标为例，不同状况可分别呈现citation的作者清单如下：
二、Bibliography
定义参考文献处格式。包含 Author Lists 和 Editor Lists，其实内容与【Citations】处相似，主要分为 Author Separators 和 Abbreviated Author List 两处设置。另外 Author Lists 多了“For Subsequent Works by the Same Author”，也类似【Citations】处的 Subsequent Appearance。
- Author Separators：定义多位作者名之间的连接符号，请参考前述【Citation】处。但因参考文献没有Author(Year)的区别，因此更单纯。
- Abbreviated Author List：
- 前两项“List all author names”和“If X or more authors,…”请参考前述【Citation】处。
- If eight or more authors, list the first 6 authors, insert T, and add the last author’s name：
如果有8位以上作者，列出前6位，其后以 T 替代，并在结尾加上最后一位作者名。
T 通常为“, . . .”
- Author Lists 的 For Subsequent Works by the Same Author：
第二次引用相同作者群的文章时的作者呈现方式。- Print the author list as defined above：不作特殊呈现，如同第一次引用。
- Omit the author list：不呈现作者字段。
- Replace repeated authors with：用其他符号或字符替代作者字段，通常为“—”。
三、Footnotes
定义注脚处引用的格式。内容与【Bibliography】处几乎完全相同，请参考【Bibliography】处之说明。唯一的不同是【Footnotes】增加了 Short Form 格式。因为某些引注格式中规定，当 footnotes 多次引用相同书目时，第二次以后呈现的格式需与第一次不同，因此这里的 short form 就是定义相同书目引用第两次以上的作者名或编辑名格式呈现。
如果要使用 Short form，除了要在 Author Lists 和 Editor Lists 定义 Short form 的格式外，另外要在【Footnotes】下的“Repeated Citations”，将“If the Same Reference Repeats in Consecutive Citations”指定为“Use short form”，如下：
修改完毕，记得点击左上角 File→Save 或 Save As 以储存修改喔。
